About Me
I’m a GIS specialist and environmental scientist with experience in NOAA Great Lakes mapping, EPA‑regulated fieldwork, and geospatial data processing. My work focuses on creating clear, accurate, and reproducible spatial workflows that support environmental decision‑making and large‑scale environmental research.
I’m currently earning my Master’s in Geographic Information Systems from Penn State, building on my GIS certification and expanding my skills in spatial analysis, Python automation, ArcPy scripting, and advanced ArcGIS Pro workflows. I enjoy developing tools that streamline complex processes—whether that’s through data cleaning, geoprocessing automation, or intuitive map design.
Before transitioning fully into GIS, I worked in EPA‑directed environmental sampling and toxicity assessments, managing field instrumentation, QA/QC procedures, and large environmental datasets. This hands‑on scientific background gives me a strong understanding of both the data and the real‑world systems it represents. My experience teaching in Costa Rica strengthened my communication skills and my ability to translate technical concepts into clear, accessible information.
I’m passionate about producing high‑quality maps, improving data integrity, and contributing to projects that make a meaningful environmental impact. My goal is to combine my environmental science foundation with advanced GIS and automation to support research, conservation, and data‑driven decision‑making.
